- Pages 29-33. Keep going past that if you need to, but make sure to be honest with yourself about whether you're ready or not to move on to a new page.
- Make sure you stay focused. Counting out loud. can help.
- Keep using flash cards. Don't take up too much practice time with flash cards though.
- Try to think before doing. Make a plan. Make sure to think about what you need to work on and how you need to work on those issues to get better.
- Form: Thumb joints. Round fingers. Play with grippy fingerprint(not the tip, not the flat). Don't get too deep into black keys. Keep wrists back far enough from keyboard. Sit up, adjust bench to support good posture. Power from the wrists. Fingers-push thumb-twist Pinkies-both.
- Practice in chunks to make playing the whole songs easier and sound better.
- Practice habits to remember: Set a timer. Use a metronome. Practice in chunks! The build up from chunks. Practice chunks using the Rule of Five. Go slow, then work up to speed. Count to the metronome.
- Progress through the book or work on songs only when you're ready. Be honest with yourself.
