Into the Wild

  1. Stoicism: look at problems or challenges as opportunities for growth and becoming a cooler person.

    2. Get as much from each exercise as you can. Dont burn through them just to get them done. Meat off the bones.

    3. Record parts to play or sing to.

    4. Warm up with c major scale starting in lower registers and working up.

    5. Practice singing loud, play loud!

    6. Look up and learn good camp songs.

    7. Make sure to print or screenshot everything before you split.

First Day!

  1. IWork on the chords for Black Sheep on guitar (Em, G, Bm7) one at a time, slowly fretting in order of the strings from low to high. Step up to going back and forth between two chords at a time once you have a good feel for each chord by itself, then two chords to a metronome, and finally the chords as they appear in the song.

  2. Focus on trying to sing as loud as possible without having any facial reactions. Work on not reacting to your mistakes or reacting negatively in general. Practicing in front of a mirror can help if you’re not sure what sort of faces you might be making.

  3. Leave a comment here on your page after each practice briefly summing up your practice, what you worked on, what went well, and what gave you trouble or still needs work for next time.
