First Day

  1. Remember good form and posture will make everything easier. Balance the weight of your body just right on the edge of your chair/bench so that you're supported, but forced to naturally have good posture.
  2. Your playing power comes from your wrists.
  3. Play with your thumb joint and, "fingerprints" of your fingers between the pad and the very tip.
  4. Keep your fingers round for strength and your palm concave, like holding a ball.
  5. Keep your wrists low, the highest point of your hands and wrists should be your primary knuckles at the base of your fingers.
  6. Practice with a metronome set to 60 BPM, practice in small chunks and build out.
  7. Have fun!
